ContractZen is a Finnish software company founded in 2014.
The company’s SaaS-based cloud platform integrates a suite of essential tools for modern corporate governance—streamlining operations, enhancing risk management, and ensuring continuous due diligence readiness.
Core features of the platform include a board portal, contract management, legal entity management, virtual data rooms (VDR), electronic signatures, and an AI-assistant.
ContractZen serves nearly 500 customers across more than 35 countries, including industry leaders such as JCDecaux, SIGG, RELEX Solutions, Huhtamäki, and TotalEnergies.
Its investors include Pii Ketvel, an early backer of Wolt and a prominent technology investor; Asko Schrey, founder of Accountor and investor; and Jyrki Tähtinen, a distinguished Finnish attorney and senior partner at the law firm Borenius. The company is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.

Our Story
We, the founders of ContractZen, believe that the operational environment for companies around the world has changed profoundly. Fierce global competition, speed of business, digitalization and growing regulation put enormous pressure on organizational governance. More than 50% of small businesses fail in their first 4 years, and 52% of the Fortune 500 companies have disappeared in the past 15 years.
As a result of this more competitive and regulated environment, organizations have to protect themselves better from risks. At the same time they must be ready to react fast when opportunities arise, as more and more mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, financing rounds as well as different kinds of audits and other due diligence situations are happening around the world.

At the time, managing inventory, production, and finances was chaotic — spread across disconnected spreadsheets, paper trails, and isolated systems. This inefficiency led to missed deadlines, wasted resources, and poor decision-making.
