Visualize Your Documents with AI-Generated Diagrams
We are currently rolling out Document Intelligence, our new AI-powered document chat feature, to all ContractZen customers. It will be available to everyone soon — and if you'd like to try it now, you can request early access by contacting our support team.
NEW! As part of Document Intelligence, the AI can now generate visual diagrams directly from your contracts, board materials, and company records. Powered by Mermaid.js, you simply ask for a diagram and the AI builds it from your documents — no diagramming skills needed.

We’re excited to begin rolling out ContractZen AI Document Chat — a secure, closed-world RAG AI experience that lets you instantly query your own corporate knowledge base and get answers you can trust.
Instead of searching through folders, PDFs, or past board packs, you simply ask, and get precise, source-backed insights in seconds.
🔒 Enterprise-grade security by design
Most AI tools are built on shared or public model environments. ContractZen is fundamentally different.
AI Document Chat runs entirely within a controlled Microsoft Azure environment, designed for enterprise governance from the ground up and powered by Azure AI Foundry.
That means:
Strict access control: Uses ContractZen’s full security model (tenant isolation, roles, access groups, and document-level permissions). The AI only sees data the user is allowed to access.
Secure cloud execution: Runs in enterprise-grade Azure AI Foundry environment, under governed security controls.
Injection protection: Defends against prompt/role injection and limits context with relevance and token controls.
Traceability & auditability: All responses are source-linked and traceable to underlying documents.
And critically:
🔐 Closed-world data grounding: Answers are generated only from explicitly retrieved, permission-filtered documents strictly within your account. Nothing is shared or used to train any generative AI foundation models.
Every query combines semantic (vector) search + keyword search, ensuring both contextual understanding and precision retrieval before generating an answer grounded in your actual documents.

MS Teams Integration in Board Portal & List View Enhancements
We have introduced two practical updates to make meeting preparation and daily governance work faster and more seamless. The new Microsoft Teams integration reduces tool switching during meeting setup, while improved list views give you instant visibility into related files across the platform. Together, these updates help teams stay organized, save time, and work with greater clarity.

The AI Assistant helps you interact with files located on the Meeting Overview page and attachments in the Agenda. Just click the sparkly chat bubble next to a document to ask questions on any language, summarize content, or clarify details. It’s like having an AI co-pilot for every meeting—saving you time and helping you focus on what matters.
While you can ask anything you'd like about the documents, here are some example questions we've picked to help you get up to speed:
Note: You can only chat about agenda attachments after the agenda has been published. Also, if the AI Assistant isn’t available to you, please contact your account administrator to enable access and/or purchase additional AI Quota.
You can now save your favorite search filters in the Entity Management section. Easily access them from a dropdown and jump straight to the data you need—without rebuilding your search every time. These saved searches are personal, just like in Contract Management.
Assign documents to SmartIndex folders during Mass Import for faster setup.
When an item is added to a SmartIndex folder, the folder name is now visible on the list view and key info pages—so you can quickly see where each document is stored.
Reminder details from Contracts and Entities are now included in Excel exports. Just click Export to Excel at the bottom of the list view in any Contract or Entity Management section to download your customized data set.
We’ve added new searchable metadata fields to the Other Documents category:
Admins can also hide any of these fields via the Metadata Field Settings page to keep your view clean and relevant.
Organizing complex folder structures just got a whole lot easier. With our new Index from File (AI) feature, you can now generate complete SmartIndexes from documents or images in seconds.
